This is not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody or released, retrieve a record, change a case, relay a message, or arrange a release. Contact the agency that maintains the information.
Where to Ask for Records
For a current jail question, call the Angelina County Detention Center. For a durable release or transfer record, submit a written request to the Sheriff's Office. Court disposition belongs to the appropriate clerk. TDCJ owns state-prison release and discharge information, while the parole and probation offices maintain their own supervision records.

Written sheriff requests may be sent by mail, delivered in person, or filed through the county web portal. The county prefers the portal because it logs and routes submissions. Select “Sheriff - Tom Selman” as recipient. No official sheriff release-record fee schedule or promised completion time was found, so request electronic copies and an advance itemized estimate.
Angelina County Court Records

County Clerk: 936-634-8339; Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The District Clerk handles felony files, and the County Clerk handles county-court misdemeanor records. Fine-only Class C matters may remain with a justice or municipal court. Court records follow clerk and judicial access rules, not the sheriff request form.

Angelina Electronic Request Rules
Angelina's designated-email rules are stricter than a general instruction to email the sheriff. When a designated email applies, use “Public Information Request” as the subject, keep the message within one typed page, and attach nothing except the official form. The county request instructions do not list a dedicated sheriff email, so the portal, mail, or in-person route is safer than an ordinary staff address.
The portal asks whether the requester will accept a public redacted version. A clear request should seek existing jail-register, booking-out, release or transfer, and property records, identify the booked person and approximate date, and ask for release time, disposition, destination, charges, and holds. This local routing rule is the Research Section 19 contact angle.
